We believe that there is one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. All three are the one God, coeternal, coequal, etc., yet there is only one God, not three gods, and not one person who took three forms, offices, or modes.

  • Matt. 28:19
  • Luke 3:22

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, is wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died in our place as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity, was buried, arose bodily from the grave on the third day, and ascended into Heaven. Now He sits at the right hand of the Father, ruling heaven and earth, and one day He will literally return to earth.

We believe that God the Holy Spirit is active in convincing unbelievers (sinners) of their need for salvation, and is the Comforter and Helper Who lives in every believer (born-again child of God).

  • John 16:8-11
  • John 14:16-17

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and its original manuscripts are free from errors and contradictions. It is the one and only infallible, authoritative, and trustworthy rule for faith and life. The Apocrypha is not inspired Scripture and is not part of the canon of Scripture.

  • 2 Tim. 3:15-17
  • 1 Thess. 2:13
  • 2 Pet. 1:21

We believe that man (woman also) is a special creation of God, made in His image, created as good and upright. However, through the sin of the first man, Adam, humanity fell so that all people are sinners and need salvation.

  • Gen. 1:26-27
  • Gen. 2:17
  • Gen. 3:6
  • Rom. 5:12-19

We believe that salvation is a gift received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is being saved from the righteous judgement of God upon the sinner. There is full redemption through the atonement work of Jesus Christ on the cross. The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Holy Spirit. The outward evidence to all people is a life of true righteousness and holiness. Salvation is obtained by grace alone, through faith alone, in the work of Christ alone, and not by our good works. However, our works are evidence of our faith in Jesus, and will determine our rewards in eternity.

We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Jesus Christ and is by immersion after salvation. All who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour are to be baptised. Immersion baptism is the outward sign of the inward transformation of oneself and identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

  • Matt. 28:19
  • Mark 16:16
  • Acts 10:47-48
  • Rom. 6:4

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as manifested by the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit, and this experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth. With this experience comes the endowment with power for life and service, the imparting of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry.

  • Acts 15:7-9

We believe that the Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements – bread and the fruit of the vine, and instituted by Jesus Himself, is a memorial of the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. All believers are commanded to partake of it until Jesus comes, and it is a proclamation of His second coming.

  • Luke 22:19
  • 1 Cor. 11:24-26

We believe that any believer in Jesus Christ can ask freely of the Lord to meet their needs according to God’s perfect will and in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ.

  • Heb. 4:16

We believe that every believer in Jesus Christ has a personal relationship with God. Through Jesus, every child of God has immediate access to the throne of grace for God’s provision, protection and help in every area of their lives.

  • Eph. 3:12
  • Eph. 2:18
  • Eph. 5:1-2

We believe that the Church is the universal Body of Christ consisting of all those who have accepted the atonement work of Christ on the cross. We believe that a local assembly of believers is needed so that believers can be made disciples, where the Word of God is preached, where baptism and the Lord’s Supper are administered, and where believers edify one another. Jesus Himself calls some people to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers for equipping the believers for the work of ministry, and for the edifying of the Church.

  • Eph. 1:22-23
  • Eph. 2:22
  • 1 Thess. 5:11
  • Eph. 4:29

We believe in the Great Commission wherein the Lord Jesus commands us to evangelise all people by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and this is the duty of every follower of Jesus Christ. Evangelism includes the Christian’s effort to refute false doctrines, and whatever might contradict the Word of God. But it needs to be done out of love and without insult, hoping that God will grant them repentance.

  • Matt. 28:19-20
  • 1 Pet. 3:15
  • 2 Tim. 2:25

We believe in the sanctity of marriage and God Himself has ordained and created marriage to exist between one man and one woman, with absolute marital faithfulness. The marriage bond is a covenant before the Lord and death alone shall separate the husband and wife.

  • Gen. 2:18-24
  • Matt. 19:4-9
  • Eph. 5:31

We believe in the rapture of the Church wherein Jesus comes in the mid-heavens to take his true Church, the spotless Bride of Christ with Him before the end-time 7-year Great Tribulation on earth. In the rapture, those who have died in Christ and those believers who are then alive will be physically caught up to the clouds to meet the Lord Jesus in the mid-heavens. We will then forever be with the Lord Jesus.

  • 1 Thess. 4:16-5:2
  • Rom. 8:23
  • Titus 2:13
  • 1 Cor. 15:51-52

We believe that Jesus Christ will literally return to earth at the end of the Great Tribulation with great glory and majesty to defeat the Antichrist and bind Satan, and establish the Millennium. Jesus will reign on earth for one thousand years, He will regather and save national Israel, and establish universal peace.

We believe that there will be a final judgement in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Anyone whose name is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, Antichrist and the false prophet, will be cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

We believe that after the millennial period and the final judgement, God will destroy this present heaven and earth, and create a new heaven and new earth, ushering in the eternity future. Those who have died in their sins without Christ will spend eternity in hell and those who have died with their sins forgiven through Jesus Christ will spend eternity in heaven.
