Matt. 27:44 says that “even the robbers who were crucified with Him reviled Him.” But, Luke 23:39-42 says that only one reviled Him while the other one believed in Him, saying, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” Is there any mistake in these accounts?

DR. GEORGY’S RESPONSE:
This problem can be solved on the possibility that at first both robbers reviled Jesus, but later one of them repented. Maybe, he was touched hearing Jesus forgive those who crucified Him (Luke 23:34) and therefore, he was convinced that Jesus was the Saviour. This prompted him to ask Jesus to be part of His coming kingdom (Luke 23:42).
