Read: 1 Corinthians 16:13
The world can be a place filled with temptations of greed, pride, jealousy, hatred, etc. If you are not guarded, it is easy to fall into such kind of temptations. When suffering comes, it is easy to deny God and question your faith. Sometimes when people see innocents die or suffer, they stop believing in God. The devil brings in such doubts and confusion. Such people tend to reject their faith in Christ and follow worldly passions. Paul the apostle faced a similar kind of situation when his fellow believer Demas left him for the love of pursuing worldly passions (2 Tim. 4:10). Demas’ faith suffered shipwreck. Paul instructed Timothy, his young disciple to wage a good warfare, having faith and a good conscience (1 Tim. 1:18-19).
In the present world, you might not have all the answers concerning your faith in Jesus. You must be assured that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins on Calvary. You were bought with a price (1 Cor. 6:20), the precious blood of Jesus. When you have doubts regarding your faith in Christ, be reminded that Satan brings that confusion. The remedy is to “Stand firm in your faith in Christ” (1 Cor. 16:13). And James 4:7 says, “Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
Do not compromise your faith to associate with people in an ungodly manner. “Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Eph. 6:11). “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (1 Pet. 5:8-9).
Are you standing firm in your faith, no matter what your situations are? “For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end” (Heb. 3:14).
