Read: 1 Samuel 16:7
Men judge the heart of others by their actions. But God judges the actions by the heart. If the heart is sincere, God will see the faith and bear with the failing. Sincerity makes our duties acceptable, like musk among linen that perfumes it. As Jehu said to Jehonadab in 2 Kin. 10:15, “Is your heart right …? And Jehonadab said, It is. If it is, give me your hand. So he gave him his hand; and he took him up into the chariot.”
If God sees our heart is right – that we love Him and desire His glory in everything we do – He says, ‘give Me your prayers and tears; now you shall come up with Me into the chariot of glory.’ 1 Cor. 4:5 says, “… until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts…” God will always expose the heart and its motives behind every action that we do. So let our hearts be sincere before Him.
