Read: 2 Kings 6:15-23
Most of us are not aware of what goes on in this universe. Because of our fast-paced life, many things may be too small or move too fast or too slow for us to see. However, it is interesting to see such things when documentary makers show such things on television and the Internet.
This tells us that the amount of knowledge or information that we have as humans are very limited. God is always at work whether we realise or not. Our spiritual vision may be limited and therefore we may not see His work. In our passage for today, we see the prophet Elisha seeing the supernatural work of God. God also opened the eyes of his servant so that he too could see the heavenly army sent to protect God’s servant (2 Kings 6:17).
The situations in our life and our fears make us feel weak and helpless and cause us to think that we are all alone. But God has assured us that “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Whenever we feel discouraged, we need to think about the good work that God is doing in us, which we can see with faith. The eyes of faith can see God at work in everything.
