Read: Hebrews 11:23-29
Moses had some tough times during his lifetime. He fled from a murder charge, spent years in the desert, stood against a king who scorned him, led a grumbling nation through 40 years of hardships, and saw those same people wavering in their allegiance to Yahweh. But when Moses learned how to deal with trials, he faced them courageously.
Even though he returned to Egypt when God called him, appearing before Pharaoh would have been intimidating. Moses had to tell Pharaoh repeatedly for the release of the Israelites. Pharaoh was unaffected by the plagues, and he made life harder for the Israelites, who in turn blamed Moses for their afflictions. In spite of this, Moses kept returning to Pharaoh’s palace till he achieved God’s purpose. Heb. 11:27 says that “he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen.” With lots of past struggles and future trials in leading this unruly people, Moses moved forward, sure of the Lord’s presence with him. He had the wisdom to trust that I AM (Exod. 3:14) – the eternal Sovereign of the universe – would guard his way and bring him victory over trials.
Are you trusting God when you face trials? Do you succumb to those trials? Are you willing to move forward with the Lord’s help and strength? Know that He is with you to help you out.
