Read: Psalm 56:3-4
Our future may be uncertain, but we have our Heavenly Father who is all-knowing and willing to help us. We might be afraid about our future, but God is our refuge and strength. David was anointed to be King of Israel while he was a young lad, but had to wait till the age of 30 to officially sit on the throne. He had to fight wars, run away from King Saul’s attack, face different forms of dangers, etc.
Psalm 56:3-4 says, “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?” David trusted in God. Although there were times when he had to face the bear and lion alone when he was tending the sheep, he knew that God was in control. David trusted in God and his faith helped him to defeat Goliath. Though David had fear, in Psalm 23:4, he said, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
No problem in our life is unsolvable for God. However big the problem may appear to be, we have our Saviour Jesus whom we can run to and take refuge under His arms. Are we willing to trust Him completely?
