Read: Psalm 1
God blesses His people in different ways. It can be in financial, health, or family aspects. God blesses the man who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, or sits in the seat of the scorners (Ps. 1:1). God’s hand is upon the person who delights in the law of God and meditates on it day and night (Ps. 1:2). God makes him prosper wherever he or she is. Ps. 1:3 says, “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”
Ruth (the Moabite), a widow decided to leave her family and follow her mother-in-law Naomi to the land of Judah. She put her trust in Yahweh God, instead of following the Moabite culture, and as a result, God blessed her with a family and generations. If you commit your works to the Lord, your plans will be established (Prov. 16:3).
If you obey God’s commands and follow them, the Lord your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good (Deut. 30:9). God’s presence was with Joseph, he prospered and God blessed the household of the Egyptian Potiphar, where Joseph lived and worked (Gen. 39:2-6).
God can help you succeed. He will make you the head and not the tail (Deut. 28:13), if you desire to obey, follow Him and abide by His commands.
