Read: Proverbs 21:5
The very example of lack of preparedness is explained in the parable of the ten virgins. Five of them had prepared extra oil for their lamps, whereas the remaining five were not prepared with the oil for lighting the lamp when the bridegroom came (Matt. 25:1-13). They slept without preparing for the oil. Due to their lack of preparedness, the foolish virgins lost the opportunity of meeting the bridegroom. Are we idle in our daily preparations? God was never unprepared when He created this world. After every creation, He saw that it was good (Gen. 1:31).
God always gave His people precise plans. He directed Noah to build an ark with correct dimensions. Also, God gave precise dimensions to Moses to build the tabernacle for God. The details of the ark, the tent, curtains, tent pegs, etc. had to be accurate and not approximate. Normally a person does not hastily build a house. He should have an idea of the cost and estimates (Luke 14:28). King Solomon from his words of wisdom advises the lazy man to learn from the ant, which prepares and stores its food supply in the summertime without having any ruler (Prov. 6:6-8). We must have a very good work ethic. In all hard work, there is profit, but merely talking about it will only bring poverty (Prov. 14:23).
Are you a person who likes doing things in a hasty way without seeking God’s direction initially? Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you (Matt. 6:33). The plans of the diligent lead only to plenty, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty (Prov. 21:5). Therefore, seek God’s direction in every plan you make.
