Read:  Psalm 19

When we try to understand God, we picture Him to be omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. The Bible helps us to understand how awesome God is.

Some verses prove His awesomeness:

  • God’s plans and ways are infinitely different from our plans. His thoughts are beyond our understanding (Isa. 55:8-9)
  • Our God is an everlasting God and the creator of the ends of the earth (Isa. 40:28)
  • Our God is great, abundant in power and His understanding is beyond measure (Ps. 147:5)
  • God has created the heavens, the moon, stars by the finger of His hands and He has placed them in their right place (Ps. 8:3-4)
  • Our God is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and full of grace (Ps. 145:8)
  • God knows us even before we are formed in our mother’s womb (Jer. 1:5)
  • Our God is not partial and He does not accept bribe (Deut. 10:17)
  • God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose (Rom. 8:28).
  • Our God is a holy God (1 Pet. 1:15-16)
  • The Lord is our light and our salvation. He is the defence of our life (Ps. 27:1)
  • God is our refuge and strength, the very present help in time of trouble (Ps. 46:1)
  • God has numbered the hairs on your head (Matt. 10:30), collected and recorded the tears that you have shed (Ps. 56:8) and inscribed your name on the palm of His hands (Isa. 49:16).
  • Our God is a consuming fire (Heb. 12:29).
  • Even if your parents forsake you, our God will never leave you, nor forsake you (Ps. 27:10).

All these verses, gives us a greater understanding of how awesome our God is. Let us lean on Him alone.
