Serving the Right Master

Read: Matthew 6:22-24

Jesus, the Son of God, came to this world to serveThe Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). “He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross” (Phil. 2:8). “He became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14). His main purpose was to do the will of the Heavenly Father who sent Him (John 4:34). Jesus expects us to serve the right master. We might get caught up in the busyness of our life to earn more and pursue a better life, thereby serving the wrong master. Judas Iscariot, Jesus’ disciple changed his focus from serving Jesus and betrayed Him for 30 pieces of silver to earn more (Matt. 26:15).
