Read: Ps. 37:3-11

Perfect timing is an impossible thing to attain by humans, but God is always perfect in His timing. He has specific plans and purposes for each of our lives, and He is always on time.

When Abraham’s servant Eliezer prayed for a wife for Isaac, God answered his prayer by bringing the young woman Rebecca to him (Gen. 24). Joseph was considered the least significant of his brothers. He was sold as a slave, falsely accused and put in prison. But ultimately God lifted him up to be the second most powerful man in Egypt, and he was in a position to save many people’s lives during the famine (Gen. 45:5-8; 50:20). When the Jews were facing extermination, Mordecai reminds Esther of her unique opportunity to save the Jews, “Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14). God used Esther at a very crucial juncture and thereby the mass genocide of the Jews was prevented.

What about you? Are you disappointed about certain things in your life? Ps. 37:3 says, “Trust in the Lord, and do good.” God will do things perfectly in His time. We need not fret about it, but patiently wait for Him. When we delight ourselves in the Lord completely, He will make everything in our life wonderful for His glory. There may be times when we are unable to understand why certain things happen, and such situations can make us discouraged and depressed. Do not be anxious because God will make all things for the ultimate good. Rom. 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
